Can people see your phone number on Telegram?

Other Telegram users can only see your phone number if you have theirs saved in your phone and have your contacts synced with Telegram. This includes friends, people in your phone contacts, and anybody with whom you have knowingly supplied your phone number. It is a simple system that maintains a semblance of privacy.
